As the former Douro Ambassador, I had the privilege of representing one of Portugal’s most emblematic and culturally rich regions on both national and international stages.

My role centered on conveying the essence of the Douro through authentic storytelling and cultural representation — celebrating its heritage, artistry, and timeless refinement.

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Douro Valley embodies history, elegance, and an exceptional wine tradition — home to the world-renowned Port Wine, regulated since 1756. It is a landscape shaped by centuries of craftsmanship: terraced vineyards, historic estates, picturesque villages, and the majestic Douro River that flows toward the city of Porto.

The Douro is more than a destination — it is an experience; a dialogue between land, legacy, and culture. Representing the Douro was an honor deeply rooted in heritage, artistry, and a profound appreciation for the cultural legacy it carries.
