WHISPERS IN THE DARK
By Vera Von Monika
Tell me, did you hear the silence,
as our hearts beat the same song?
Do the words you never spoke
echo where they don’t belong?
I asked for more than your silence,
but in your eyes, I found my place
a world of truth between the lines,
though your lips never gave me grace.
Speak the thoughts you never shared,
but I already know the truth:
that love is never wrapped in words,
and time may steal it from our youth.
You left without saying a thing,
but your absence filled the air.
I’ve learned to love the quiet space
where your memory remains there.
Speak those words, but I’ve already heard
the unspoken promises
that float in the stillness,
where your whispers find their bliss.
