BENEATH THE RAIN

By Vera Von Monika

Beneath the rain, I see you
not as a fleeting image,
but as a constant,
etched in the rhythm of the world around me.

Each drop carries your essence,
a quiet strength that softens my heart,
your presence calming the storm within me.

I am drawn to you
like earth yearning for the sky,
letting your stillness envelop me
layer by layer,
until I am bare, vulnerable, alive.

You walk through the rain
with a grace it cannot mimic,
your soul unfolding like petals
fragile yet unyielding,
offering beauty only the heart can hold.

If I could, I would gather the rain
as a memory of you,
its touch a reflection of the way
you’ve stirred something I cannot name.

Even as the rain fades,
you remain
a quiet storm in my soul,
endlessly carving
a place in my heart.
