HELD IN FRAME
By Vera Von Monika
Verse 1
His voice cuts through the stage like heat,
too steady to ignore, too close to repeat.
Lights break sharp but never break him,
they bend where he lets them thin.
Across the noise, it happens again
not once, not random, not then and then.
Eyes meet like they already know
this isn’t the first time it slows.
Pre-Chorus
No distance where sound begins,
just pressure under skin.
Every return of that line of sight
feels like it holds too tight.
Chorus
Held in frame, under skin,
something happening within.
Not a moment passing through
but something pulling through you.
Voice still inside the air,
like it never left there.
And nothing stays the same
inside that frame.
Verse 2
He moves, the space adjusts around,
like gravity forgot the ground.
Between the light and the beat and the glare,
something stays aware.
And every time the eyes collide,
the room gets smaller inside.
Not staged, not named, not rehearsed
just time reversing its course.
Pre-Chorus
It’s not distance anymore,
it’s pressure at the core.
Something shifting in skin
before anything begins.
Chorus
Held in frame, no escape line,
something crossing every line.
Too close to call it space,
too real to erase.
And even when sound falls down,
the silence changes the ground.
Nothing feels the same
inside that frame.
Bridge
After the noise, after the light,
after the end of the night
the space doesn’t reset,
it remembers what it kept.
A pull without a word,
closer than anything heard.
Like distance lost its claim
to the frame.
Final Chorus
Held in frame, you and me,
something only bodies know.
Voice still under the skin,
still happening within.
Not memory, not dream
something in between.
And even now it stays
in the frame.
Outro
And then it forms without sound
not given, not found.
Two hands learning the shape
of something time can’t erase.
A small geometry of “us,”
too precise to be luck.
Not spoken, not named, not gone
just held too long.
And after everything fades away,
that shape still stays.
A heart made without words,
that still hurts
I remember
Us held in frame
